In 2009, Geoffrey Farmer approached me about participating in a public art work at the Vancouver Public Library. The work we came up with -- a series of poems I wrote that were inspired by the story of how the new VPL building came to be printed on banners whose colours are derived from paper stock used by librarians to denote various aspects of library administration -- we called Broadsiding (2010).
