Given the context of the exhibition what about Seth Siegelaub's sfu project? Instructional texts as month long collage. In regard to your conclusion, I wonder if collagist practice did not also continue in litrary ways in recent works such as Dan Starling's twin text projects, Alison Hrabluik's metafictive memoirs, and perhaps less literary work such as Alex Morrison's recent drawing and painting assemblages, Isabelle Pauwel's reassembled home movies, and Roy Arden's photo-collages.
